Jewelry care tips

Our jewelry is made of 925 silver and is handmade. This means that many hours have been spent in our hands from the design to the construction, with the sole purpose of offering you the best possible result.

It should be noted, however, that no matter how much attention we have paid to the jewelry you have in your hands, there is a chance that the jewelry will oxidize and acquire an appearance of corrosion, i.e. blackening. This can be affected either by our sweat, or by some chemicals that will come into contact with the jewelry. Of course, this will not prevent us from wearing and enjoying our favorite jewelry, since with some simple tips we can keep them looking like new. After all, even the jewelry that we don’t wear for a long time will have noticed that it oxidizes, maybe even more than the ones we wear every day.

That is why we should also store them in the right way, i.e. clean them with a cloth to remove what is left on the surface of the jewelry and then store them in their boxes or even better in airtight bags, so as to limit the contact with ambient air.

For a quick refresh of our jewelry, we can clean it with a soft cloth or even with water and a little baking soda and a very good rinse with water.

Our jewelry is silver but also has a plating coating. We also pay a lot of attention to the plating part, so that they are protected for a longer period of time and of course so that we can also have other colors of metals (gold, rose gold), always based on 925 silver. Even the jewelry that is white, has undergone perodization, so that they are shielded and have greater resistance over time. However, we should not misunderstand the concept of plating, as it is a layer on top of the jewelry and with the daily friction of the jewelry and the contact with what we mentioned above, there will again be oxidation and wear.

Jewelry with semi-precious stones and pearls should be even more careful. If you are not sure how to care for a piece of jewelry, don’t hesitate to contact us.
